Our team developed a Combined Augumented Reality and Virtual Reality Suite with haptic gloves.
Mixed reality is a set of haptic gloves and AR/VR headset where we can feel the object in the display of the headset. This makes the gap between AR/VR world and our reality small such that the person can feel the touch of a digital asset. Some of the assets that we developed included a heart, surgory dashboard and a calculator.
There’s an IR camera sensor provided by leapmotion for the 3D recognition and the ardruino is used along with haptic sensors attached to the gloves to provide the sensory inputs. The project utilises the unity to build the 3D asset which can react to touch and can be lifted to be examined.
